Directions

  • 1Roll dough flat and sprinkle with cheese. Fold in the edges to form a tough ball. Work into a smooth ball in one palm, using the other palm to knead. Let stand until dough had proofed to at least double in size.
  • 2Shave ham and beef in desired quantities.
  • 3Cut tomato into slices, cucumber into coins, suave lettuce, and dice onion. Mix the diced onion with a good amount of celery seed. Important as this is where a lot of flavor comes from.
  • 4When the dough has doubled in size, bake at 350 until an internal temperature of 190 degrees. Remove buns from the oven and cool at room temperature.
  • 5Once cool, slice bun and begin layering ham and roast beef.
  • 6Finish topping the sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cucumber first as this will help the contents to not fall out while eating. Finally, add the relish and the onions on top for a complete sandwich.
